A “complete turnaround” would describe the life of Tilly Turner and her family.  Just over a year ago, Tilly started showing up to the weekly Food Distribution offered at The Refuge West in Marietta, GA.  Tilly acknowledges her life was a mess at that time.  Initially, she simply came to receive food, but after a couple of months of just coming to receive, she felt the need to give back.  As she allowed the Lord to come into her life and heal her of past hurts and wounds, she began to find new purpose for her life.  Today Tilly serves in the Food Distribution ministry.  Not only does she help sort the food and pack the food boxes, she recently became a Volunteer Coordinator for the ministry!

Pastors Trey and Gretchen Abney, and the rest of the team at The Refuge West, saw the great need of the people living in their local community and wanted to find a way to meet both the spiritual and physical needs of God’s people. Through their partnership with the Foundation, the REACH Mobile project has since expanded from basic distribution of bread and sandwiches to full meal boxes that not only serve up to 300 individuals on a weekly basis, but also 30 additional ministries in the area are being resourced to accomplish the same mission of feeding bodies and souls.  The Lord’s favor on this ministry even moved their Muslim landlord to give them free use of three additional retail units in their storefront location totaling 9,000 square feet valued at $5,000 per month!

Over the past year, 690 individuals have made the decision to give their lives to Christ, and 182 have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.  Additionally, healings of cancer, lupus, autism and many other ailments have been seen. Celebrate with us what the Lord is doing in Marietta, GA and pray for the multiplication of resources for this ministry to continue growing and reaching their community with the Good news of Jesus Christ!

In conjunction with local city and government agencies, the “Family Help Center” in Bielefeld, Germany is providing an amazing service to the homeless and unemployed.  Last year, through its  ministry to alcohol and drug addicted,  28 gave their lives to Christ.   This year, they are broadening their services to the entire family – “Reaching out to kids now, before rescuing them later,” shared project leader Ewald Zelmer.  With the help of a Foursquare Foundation grant, a new income generating café and second-hand shop is being added, providing job placements and opportunities for area unemployed to share their job skills and handiwork.  Along with a sewing center and appliance repair station, a carpentry shop located on the premises is providing a creative place for donated items to be repaired and turned into treasures for sale.

Tea plantations in Sri Lanka are witnessing God move in the lives of rural farmers and their families through a grant funded project called “Nutrition for Life”.  Led by Dr. Leslie Keegel and Pastor George Niranjan, nutritional meals and ministry are being provided regularly to area school children who labor in their family’s fields.  Many living on limited resources, these children often labor long hours with little or no compensation (some even malnourished) - But now, thanks to the collective efforts of this regional outreach project lives have been changed and lasting relationships built with area families,teachers, and local officials.  To date, over 491 people have made decisions to follow Christ, and 268 Holy Spirit Baptisms
have been recorded!  Students, who were once struggling to keep up in their studies, are now excelling and will be fully prepared for their national examinations.

Area Missionary Dave Stone and team are praising God for HIS manifest presence is overflowing to many in the Caribbean islands – including Puerto Rico, Jamaica and Cuba, where regional leaders are actively receiving training for harvest outreach.  To date over 150 leaders have been identified and trained through area seminars hosted by Dave Stone and team using John & Sonya Decker’s curriculum, “Doing what Jesus Did.”  Many of these leaders are now taking the seminar training back to their own churches and establishing Discipleship Training Centers!

With God’s manifest presence flowing through these seminar events, no doubt we will soon hear of a greater harvest coming forth as these pastors and leaders utilize the practical tools given them for reaching the lost and discipling God’s people.

Whether incarcerated or emancipated, so many youth face the fear of being alone or without hope –  Especially during the holidays.  Rosalinda Vint and her faithful team of leaders have committed to seeing youth set free from the chains that bind them through sharing the message and love of Jesus Christ.  Based in Newbury Park, CA, the “Ministering to Youth and Emancipated Foster Youth” project has witnessed over 900 decisions for Christ during 2011 small group meetings held at detention centers, juvenile correctional facilities, probation camps and adult prisons.

God’s message of love and healing is moving through this ministry – During one outreach held at Old Folsom State Prison, leaders reported, “Men were weeping and over 300 inmates made commitments to follow Christ.”  Later, it was reported 270 received the baptism in the Holy Spirit at follow-up meetings.

Moldovian students attending the new “School of Evangelists” in Kricova  were pleasantly surprised recently when visiting a neighboring cancer treatment hospital during their class “field -trip.”  Arriving unannounced, the doctor miraculously invited them in, saying,  ”You don’t have to go into each room to visit, I will gather the patients for you into the main hall where you can visit there.”  After sharing the Gospel message and praying with most, 15 patients gave their lives to Christ!  Project Leader Peter Mehl tells us, ”One woman with quivering lips cried , “Thank you for bringing us hope – Until now we had none.”

With the help of a Foursquare Foundation grant, five mobile evangelism teams are simultaneously reaching into Moldova’s villages where 50 evangelists in-training are actively putting their school lessons into practice.  Along with weekly outreaches,  discipleship training and follow-up meetings are practically preparing leaders for relational small group multiplication – Bringing hope and light into local communities. To date a total of 2,719 decisions for Christ have been reported through this church planting project.

Foursquare Fiji Helping Transform God’s People

Foursquare Fiji is celebrating God’s amazing goodness – Over 360 people dedicated their lives to Christ this year during area outreaches held in the northern villages of Sabeto, where Pastor John Chand and his anointed team of leaders have witnessed God’s extravagant love poured out to many. Manifesting miraculous healings by the power of the Holy Spirit, demons were cast out, and Hindu temples reportedly torn down – now replaced by new Foursquare Churches.  Hundreds of village people once Hindu, now posses a personal relationship with Jesus Christ – including a locally known Hindu priest!

A new church building is scheduled to be dedicated in June 2012, both a multipurpose gathering place for the new believers and base of operations to reach the surrounding villages in Northern Fiji.
