The Foursquare Foundation has aligned its mission to partner with the greater Foursquare Family by directly resourcing the development of leaders, church planting and global strategies. For the remaining period of 2014, funding has been allocated to the following targets:
Target 1 | LEADERS (LEADER SUPPORT)
The Paul and Marilee Risser Endowment for Pastoral Leadership Fund was established in June 2009 to encourage the development of qualified leadership to serve The Foursquare Church in pastoral ministry. These funds are restricted in use for faculty salaries and/or student scholarships at Foursquare accredited post-secondary schools. During 2014, these funds were awarded to the NCO, Life Pacific College, The King’s University, and New Hope Christian College. Currently, the Fund receives 10% of the Foursquare Foundation’s annual grant budget after tithe and administration.
Target 2 | CHURCHES (U.S. CHURCH PLANTING GRANT)
The US National Church (administered by the NCO) received an allocation in 2014 for Church Planting that is helping fund 7 key city outreach teams, focusing on strategic church planting and multiplication efforts in the cities of Detroit, MI, Chicago, IL, New York City, NY, Philadelphia, PA, Atlanta, GA, Austin, Texas, and Los Angeles, CA.
Target 3 | NATIONS (FOURSQUARE GLOBAL COUNCIL)
The Foursquare Global Council received an allocation in 2014 for the purpose of developing a strategy to best allocate resources to accelerate the work of the global Foursquare Family.
